The last Sunday before 4 months of Sundays

What a lovely way to spend the last weekend before our trip. A great evening Saturday with friends and then a brunch with friends and a very special bottle of sparkling wine!

Thanks Chris and Marty! Only three glasses as Marty doesn't drink bubbles, not that the rest of us were complaining.

We have our bags packed and tonight we will sort out the paperwork and gadgets. Can't believe that this time next Sunday we will be well on our way to New Orleans, yeah!

Welcome to Ann and Graham's blog!

We are really keen to keep everyone informed about our big trip and think that this could be the way to do it.

Only 6 sleeps to go, we are getting very excited!

By the way, this is a picture of a painting done by Ann's son David.

A weekend in Tekapo

We met Mum and Dad halfway between Christchurch and Clyde, found a nice place on Wotif, balcony overlooking the road and the lake. Very nice now that the wind has dropped and the sun is out.

The rugby is on, but the main sound is of many campervans driving by.

The church of the good shepherd is still lovely.

and the view from the balcony is pretty good.

The Shadows and Cliff

Wasn't sure about going to the concert as I felt I had seen enough of him last time, but the Shadows more than made up for it. Hank Marvin was fantastic and they all looked like they were really enjoying themselves.

Here is Cliff with Bruce and Hank. Only one row of heads in front of us as we were in Row B numbers 1 and 2, not bad!

They did an unplugged, or accoustic bracket as they called it, didn't know Cliff could play the guitar!
