This is where we moored another night, closest to the bridge of a string of boats.
We make sure we have plenty of time for a walk around the village, and of course to visit the local pub.
One of the best things about being on the rivers is how calm it is when the evening comes and the boats no longer go past. The reflections are lovely. These boats were right opposite our mooring last night.
Being so close to the solstice, the daylight seems to last forever. It is 10.30 before we need lights for reading. The other morning we woke up in daylight, thinking it was about 8am to find it was 4.30! The birds were singing and it was daylight.

Sounds like you need an old Boy Scout, can I offer my services? I can also tie a bowline and use that to haul you out if you should happen to fall in. Looks fantastic, very envious, though of course I would prefer my boat to be somewhat narrower!
