Favourite places in Las Vegas

BB King's Bar. This was in our resort, and we had dinner sitting at a table right in the middle at the front. It was rather loud, but the music was awesome, and the black guy on the Hammond organ had Graham's jaw dropping. We learned later that this was rated by one guide as the top spot for live music. The musicians are supposedly selected by BB himself, who at 82 is still very much alive and a part of the US music scene.

The Rhumbar. This too, was at our resort and rated number two in the guide for cocktail bars. The Hurricane size piƱa colada was very nice, lasted Ann through three of Graham's beers.

Treasue Island Resort. This was next door to our resort, but as they all take about a whole block, you could catch a tram to get there. Each night there are several performances of a pirate fight between two ships, one full of scantily clad girls and the other scantily clad guys! The guys swam to the girls' ship and some fell off it from great heights. Most impressive.

Many of the restaurants and bars had a theme. The place we liked at Treasure Island had a country theme and the waitresses were cowgirls.

Graham thought their outfits were rather nice! There were no fat waitresses in Las Vegas.

As you can see we made the most of our short stay. Had we stayed another day we may have gone to a show, but there was plenty on show for free!
